Well…there’s not much to report since there is not much change from last week.
It has been incredibly wet and I haven’t been able to plant. And that has actually been a good thing because we had freezing temps on Monday night. And I forgot to cover up my hydrangea. Yep. Imagine how shocked I was when I looked at it today and it had discolored spots. I made sure to cover it tonight since there is another freeze warning. *smile*
The garden is pretty blah except for the mustard greens which are flowering. They are absolutely gorgeous! I’m thinking that mustard greens would make a good hedge along the edge of the garden. And you think I’m kidding… *smile*.
We are still waiting for the seeds we have planted to sprout but we are seeing signs of life amongst the other plants. The blackberries are putting on new green leaves.
We are so excited to see buds on our peach tree. This will be our first year to harvest peaches!
And we have a little surprise:
These potatoes sprouted either from compost or because I didn’t find all of the potatoes during last year’s harvest.
The grapes absolutely amaze me. The are a little bit longer every day. Last year’s grapes were the best I’ve ever eaten. Can.not.wait! *smile*
We’re expecting warmer temps this week. And good thing too. I’ve got some little plants that are ready for the big move.
Have you been able to plant your garden yet?
