The focus for January was on routines.
We will still be working to establish consistent routines during the month of February until they become more second-nature to us.
The month of February will also bring about a focus on my health.
As I get older, I am seeing my body start to weaken and am noticing more aches & pains. This week I stumbled across this blog and I could have written most of what she has posted in dark letters. I am only 41 years old and have many of those same problems.
So this month the focus will be on working towards a healthier me. I’m not going to focus on the scale but I hope that I will eventually see changes there. However, I am going to make changes that I hope will improve my overall health. I want to be a healthy mom for my kids.
Focus goals for the month of February:
- Drink more water (About 80+ oz a day)
- Reduce soda intake ( I want to eliminate this but I am so weak.)
- Focus on eating a real/whole foods diet. (I don’t eat a lot of processed food. Well, if you don’t count the soda, that is. But I want to incorporate more veggies and fruits while reducing processed foods and sugar.)
- Walk 5 times a week.
I hope to have a better idea of what the real/whole foods diet will look like for me and how that is going to fit into feeding a large family on a budget. Hopefully, Monday’s menu post will show how that is going to work for us.
