Fall Fun ~

It’s finally starting to feel like fall here in the deep south.  The temperature is dropping and some leaves are beginning to change colors.  That means it is time to pull out the fall decorations and activities.

I absolutely love handprint art so we made some fall trees with our hands using our fingers to make the fall colored leaves.  I try to make sure to date our handprint art and tuck them away in a keepsake box for when the children get older.

We also made some symmetrical painted leaves.  We did this by cutting some construction paper into leaf shapes.  Then we painted half of the leaf, folded it & “ironed” it with our hands, and opened it to find these new symmetrical designs:

I adore all the fall colors decorating our little kitchen right now!

  1. Just lovely!!!
We did some tree prints in our co-op this week, but used crayons. Lecia tried to talk me into using paint, but I just couldnt talk myself into it with 21 kindergarden children!

I will thought...try this at home!!!

  2. Thanks, Amanda.

Yea, it was tough using paint with just three kids. I don't think I would have attempted it with 21 kindergarteners either!

  3. Haha Obviously I am a little adventurous (or insane???) Thankfully Amanda talked me into crayons, and the church is still intact.
I do love your ideas, I think I may borrow them.

I love comments! Thanks for taking time to leave me a message. I'll be sure to get back in touch with you!
